The 64-bit version of Internet Explorer 9 is meant to increase the memory allocation and speed of Microsoft's popular browser. Internet Explorer 9 64 Bit brings all the features, looks and customization of regular IE 9 along with native support for 64-bit architecture.

IE 9 64 Bit's main initial draw lies in its revamped interface. The new Aero desktop theme provided by Windows 7 allows IE 9 64 Bit to showcase a transparent border, which contributes significant style points. IE 9 64 Bit also includes an integrated address and search bar. This combination makes new-tab searching a simple and repeatable option. The customization features also allow for different search bar choices, such as Google, Bing or Yahoo.

The transparent border isn't the only Windows 7 integration provided by IE 9 64 Bit, however. Websites can now be pinned to the task bar in much the same way as programs or files. Bookmarked websites can also be allocated as an application for the purpose of start-menu shortcuts.
